Two express train drivers have been suspended for exceeding the speed limit of 20 km/h while operating their trains at 120 km/h near the Agra Cantt railway station. Fortunately, both trains escaped a potential accident.
Maintenance work was being carried out on the tracks between Jajau and Mania railway stations, hence the temporary speed restriction of 20 km/h was imposed for all trains passing through this section.

Kadima Express: This train usually runs at 120 km/h between Nizamuddin and Jhansi. The driver and assistant driver were allegedly unaware of the temporary speed restriction.
Malwa Express: The driver and assistant driver of this train reportedly forgot about the temporary speed restriction.
Both the loco pilots and assistant loco pilots involved in these incidents have been suspended. The high speed of the trains could have potentially damaged the bridge under construction, leading to a catastrophic accident.
