12 Die In A Traffic Jam In Indonesia At A Junction Called 'Brexit'
Traffic jams are a growing concern in many places around the world. The most recent one is a jam that happened in Indonesia, in which 12 people died! The traffic jam was over 21km long and happened at a junction called 'Brexit'.
The traffic jam lasted three days while people were returning home to celebrate Eid. The junction is called 'Brebes Exit' and hence the short name, Brexit, which refers to a toll gate at the intersection.

Indonesia usually faces such jams during the end of Ramadan, but this year's jam was extreme. 12 people died in the jam that lasted between July 3 and 5, 2016.
Hemi Pramuraharjo, the Transport Ministry spokesman said that most of the casualties were elderly people. Fatigue and health conditions were two major causes, while reports suggest that a one year old also died due to fumes.
