Toyota's Maruti Fronx Counterpart Rumoured To Launch Around Festive Season - Details Inside
The unique collaboration between Toyota and Maruti Suzuki has given rise to several successful vehicles in the market over the years. The badge swapping strategy has been well-received in the Indian market and it is very evident from their sales reports.
For Toyota, the rebadging has allowed the brand to expand its product portfolio with minimal investment, providing access to new segments and strengthening its presence in the affordable car segment

When it comes to Maruti Suzuki, the carmaker benefits from Toyota's brand image and expertise in hybrid technology, boosting its standing as a reliable and innovative automaker. And from a customer perspective, they now have more choices when selecting a vehicle.
Recently, Maruti Suzuki introduced the Invicto premium MPV in India based on the Toyota Innova Hycross and reports were saying Toyota is going to launch the Ertiga-based Rumion in the coming months.
Now reports are surfacing over the internet saying, Toyota is expected to launch the rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx. Automobile portal GaadiWaadi reported that the launch of the car will happen around the festive season this year.

Maruti Suzuki introduced the Fronx and Jimny at the 2023 Auto Expo, and both cars are available at Nexa premium outlets. The Fronx has been achieving impressive sales numbers every month and is placed below the Brezza SUV in Maruti Suzuki's lineup.
The compact SUV coupe, Fronx, shares its platform (Lightweight Heartect Platform) with the premium hatchback, Baleno. Therefore, Toyota's version will also be built on the same architecture and will have the same set of features.
The car is rumored to be named as the Taisor, but as of now, there's no official confirmation made from the carmaker's side. When it comes to performance, we can expect the same 1.2-litre K-series petrol and 1.0-litre turbo petrol engines in the upcoming car.
The 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine can produce 90bhp of power and 113Nm of torque. Whereas, the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine produces around 100bhp and 140Nm of peak torque.
The rumored Toyota compact SUV coupe is expected to come with a five-speed manual, a six-speed torque converter AT, and a five-speed AMT transmission. It is yet to be known if the new Toyota model will undergo any exterior changes compared to the Fronx.
Inside, the car will have the same floating nine-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, push button start/stop, cruise control, automatic climate control, 360-degree camera, heads-up display, multiple airbags, etc.
