A Toyota Innova crashed from an incomplete flyover near Chennai.
In a freak accident, a Toyota Innova crashed from an incomplete flyover and plunged down 30 feet into a ditch filled with rainwater.
A family of four people were traveling in a hired Innova to attend an engagement in a place called Minjur. The accident occurred at around 9:30pm near Chennai.

The driver who was unaware of the incomplete flyover drove straight off it. The Innova plunged off the flyover 30 feet down to a pit filled with water. Three people were killed in this tragic accident. Two people including driver survived the accident as they were able to escape from the mangled car.
The report also states that another car was following the Innova which stopped after seeing the MPV fall off the flyover. We reckon that the darkness was the main reason behind this crash as the driver had no idea about the danger ahead.
The statement from Police sources has stated that there was no barricades or any signs to warn the drivers about the incomplete flyover. So, this accident could have been avoided if proper precautions were taken. It is a pure negligence of civic authority who did not even bother to warn drivers about the danger.

You should never over speed while driving at night as the room for error will be reduced due to low visibility. If you are driving on an unknown road, always be within the speed limit as you never know what lies ahead.
