Tiger Takes A Nap On A Mahindra Scorpio & Goes For A Ride
It has been commonly observed, especially in African sanctuaries that large cats like to sleep on vehicles. Vehicles are warm and large tourists SUVs provide a good vantage point for these predatory cats.
This behaviour was recently caught on camera at Tiger Canyons in South Africa, a private tiger sanctuary that's located in South Africa and owned by wildlife film maker John Varty.
One of Varty's tigers, an adult Bengal tiger decided to climb on to the roof of a Mahindra Scorpio tourist vehicle being driven by Varty himself. The video then shows the tiger getting comfortable atop the vehicle and even cuddles a spare tyre, using it as a pillow.
Eventually, Varty starts the engine and sets off on a bumpy ride and the tiger finally decides to bail when the ride gets too bumpy for comfort. The video was captured by a tourist named Seth Rotherham from an adjoining vehicle.
It is to be noted that Varty's tigers are not entirely wild and share a friendly (as friendly as it can get with tigers) relationship with the filmmaker.
Mahindra South Africa, a fully owned subsidy of M&M sells a variety of vehicles across Africa, including XUV500, Bolero, Scorpio, Quanto, Xylo among others.
