PepsiCo books the highest number of Tesla Semi trucks. Know more about Tesla Semi model here.
Tesla Inc. have only recently revealed their Semi Truck models and their extremely quick Roadster. The Semi boasted of better performance and range than other conventional diesel trucks.
After a wonderful presentation of the Semi by Tesla CEO, Elon Musk back in November, it seems corporates have been impressed. The reason to believe so is that PepsiCo have just ordered 100 Semi trucks.

PepsiCo, the company which owns many famous food products, aims to reduce fuel costs and gas emissions while advancing as a whole in the industry. They intend to use them for shipments of snacks and beverages across their distribution facilities within a range of around 800km (the proposed range told by Elon Musk at the Tesla unveil).
According to analytics, about 260,000 diesel trucks are produced in North America annually. 100 electric trucks wouldn't make any significant impact on this data, but this is definitely a start.
As per Reuters, the total number of Semi truck pre-orders Tesla received ranges almost upto 270, including orders from Walmart, JB Hunt and Sysco Corp.
The total number of rigs Pepsico have are in the 10,000 range, and they aim to utilise the Teslas to reduce their fleet's greenhouse emission rate by at least 20% by 2030.
Currently, they are analysing which routes are the best for the new Tesla trucks in North America while taking into consideration, the distance, availability of superchargers and the general traffic.
