Tesla Leases Office Space In This Indian City – Check Out All Details
The Indian media has been making a lot of noise regarding Tesla ever since the company CEO Elon Musk met Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the latter's 4-day visit to the US.
Now, Tesla has leased office space in India and this upcoming Tesla office is located in Panchshil Business Park in Pune. It is also worth mentioning that Tesla, Inc has leased this office in Pune for the next five years.
According to the source, this new office has been leased from Tablespace Technologies, which is the building operator. Also, this new office is around 5,850 sq. feet, and the monthly rent for this office is said to be Rs 11.65 lakh per month.
Like most lease agreements, this office space also has a lock-in period of 36 months, and the rent is said to escalate by 5 per cent annually. Also, there is a provision in the agreement to renew the lease for another 5 years.
That being said, we are not sure about the setup details regarding Tesla's upcoming office as the company intends to bring multiple investments into the country. In fact, Musk had earlier said that India is a great country for solar investment.
After Musk's meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Musk even commented that his company is even planning to bring Starlink to India. Such a scale of investments would open plenty of job opportunities and also boost the economy of the country.
That being said, Elon Musk is very keen on investing in India, and we expect the company to soon start working on its upcoming manufacturing plant for producing Tesla's electric cars.
