Terra Motors To Fortify Presence In Indian EV Ecosystem With Terra Charge
Terra Motors India, an EV ecosystem company, is amplifying its electric vehicle charging infrastructure venture, Terra Charge. The expansion includes new offices in metropolitan cities such as Hyderabad, Bangalore, Pune, Gurgaon, Kolkata, and Chennai.
After securing $28 million in a recent Series C funding round, the company is set to increase its employee strength to over 250 skilled professionals by 2024, with key roles in engineering, technology, and growth.
CEO's Take On The Expansion
CEO of Terra Motors India, Mr Akihiro Ueda, shared his vision for the company's growth. He stated, "We are excited about the new offices and the opportunities they bring. We are committed to supporting the Government's aim of having 30% EVs in automobile sales by 2030 by developing innovative products, sales methods, and distributor networks that cater to each market's unique demands. Our immediate goal is to provide high-value EV charging services and explore meaningful business opportunities."
Revenue Projections & Strategic Collaborations
Though Terra Motors has not disclosed its previous Financial Year figures, it projects an annual revenue of $668,000 for FY24. With significant financial support, the company is well-positioned to scale its growth. The strategic locations will facilitate its subsidiary, Terra Charge, to provide efficient and reliable charging services across India.
The company aims to install between 800-1000 charge points by March and has already begun with its first set of EV charging hubs in Haryana. Moreover, Terra Motors recently joined hands with SNM Cabs to develop a charging hub for the cab fleet near Pune airport.
By establishing new offices, Terra Motors intends to fortify its presence in the Indian EV ecosystem, explore new business opportunities, and cater to the growing demand for advanced electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
The company aims to provide superior-quality charging services to commercial EV users and expedite India's EV revolution. Terra Motors is continuously exploring additional expansion opportunities and product innovations for India.
