While traditional surfboards are made of fibreglass, one true master of surf has made something that would confuse people for choice between a sports car or a surfboard. Lets see what makes this surfboard so special.

The story continues on the next slide.

This exclusive surfboard- Rampant, is made in New Zealand, by Roy Stuart. This 10'6", exclusive surfboard is the result of twenty years of non-stop testing. It was tested in various locations and conditions before taking this beautiful shape.

Rampant, is made from Paulownia wood. It has very high strength, ideal for making surfboard surfaces. This makes it capable of achieving speeds above 50 km/h while surfing. The wood is flexible as well.

The board has a Vortex tunnel fin which is 6 inches thick, made of the Kahikatea tree, which is found exclusively in New Zealand. Roy says that this is what helps it achieve high speeds.

The creator, built his first surfboard in 1969 out of wood. Roy has been innovating and constantly contributing to the development of wooden boards ever since.

It took over 16 years to perfect this design. Other than the speed achievable, this board is a real beauty too, with looks that reflect its character and charm.
