Laxmidas Vekaria, a diamond merchant from Surat, has gifted 125 of his best-performing employees with a Honda Activa scooter. He gave away the Honda Activa scooters during a loyalty award ceremony.
Vekaria began his business in 2010, and he is the second businessman from India's diamond hub to hit the news for his generosity to employees.
In 2016, another diamond export merchant Savji Dholakia gifted his employees with 1,260 Fiat Punto cars, 400 flats and jewellery ahead of Diwali festival.
The Honda Activa 4G is the best-selling scooter in India and competes with some of the well-established motorcycles in the country.
Powering the Honda Activa 4G is a BS-IV compliant 109cc engine capable of producing 8bhp and 9Nm of torque mated to an automatic gearbox. Currently, the Honda Activa 4G retails at Rs 50,730 ex-showroom (Delhi).
