Spirit of LeMons Is A Road Legal Cessna
It's not just Ferraris and Lamborghinis that can get you everyones attention on the road. Jeff Bloch from South Carolina, United States has experienced this first hand. The reason for this is his unique creation. A plane-car.
Dubbed the Spirit of LeMons, the ‘car' is the creation of 40 year old police officer, mechanic, racer, Jeff Bolch, aka Speedy Cop, and his team, ‘The Gang of Outlaws'. The Spirit of LeMons was originally built to participate in 24 Hours of LeMons.
Following its success in the race event Bolch and his buddies decided to turn the Spirit of LeMons road legal, by adding mirrors, indicator lamps and such. Now, the Spirit of LeMons is a start not just on the track, but also on the road. Video in the gallery below.

Spirit of LeMons has the body of a 1956 Cessna 310, a six seater monoplane.

Everything underneath comes from a Toyota minivan

The 27 foot long Sprit of LeMons was built as a race car to participate in 24 Hours of LeMons, a poor man's 24 Hours of Le Mans race, where the cost of a car averages around $500.

Spirit of LeMons can reach speeds of up to 145 km/h.

After winning the race title Jeff Bolch decided to make his unique plane-car road legal and added all the necessary bits.

He says his one of a kind car now grabs eyeballs everywhere he drives it. Even Ferrari owners think his car is the coolest they have ever seen.
