SIAM Appoints Ravindra Pisharody As Vice President
Society of Indian Automobile Manufactures (SIAM) has appointed Ravindra Pisharody, Executive Director, Tata Motors (Commercial Vehicles) as its Vice President.
The SIAM executive committee unanimously elected Pisharody for the post, the auto industry body said in a statement.
Pisharody is a senior management professional at Tata Commercial vehicles with over 30 years of executive experience. Pisharody holds a BTech in electronics engineering from IIT Kharagpur and a post-graduate diploma in management from IIM, Calcutta.
"I look forward to my new role as the Vice President. I understand that the role would be challenging and I would like to pitch in with my contributions and help strengthen the team further so that we can move towards our common goals," Pisharody said.
SIAM works closely with stakeholders and helps improve rules, regulations and policies related to the Indian automobile industry.
