This Is The Funniest Rally Driver and Navigator Pair

Rally racing, unlike other forms of motorsports, is won not just by the one driving the vehicle, but also by the navigator. Some of the most successful rally championship winners are backed by equally capable navigators. And its not all about individual talent, but also about teamwork and trust. Exactly the thing which we see is lacking in this team.

The driver seen in this video is Samir Thapar, an industrialist and a well known rally car driver. Samir Thapar's JCT Rallying team is financed by his own JCT textile firm. This particular video is from the 2013 Rally of Coimbatore, a part of the Indian National Rally Championship, which took place in March.

Seen here are Samir Thapar behind the wheels of his turbocharged Mitsubishi Evo X and Vivek Ponnusamy, his navigator beside him. Ponnusamy not only provides navigational inputs, but also tells the driver how to drive and freaks out when he drives off course several times, while the driver is clearly frustrated by the driving instructions being provided by the navigator. Filled with funny moments, this video certainly reveals "The Funny Side of Rallying".
