Pegasus l’Étalon Noir Is An Otherworldly Drag Bike That Was Once A Royal Enfield Continental GT 650

The Pegasus l'Étalon Noir, which roughly translates to 'Pegasus The Black Stallion' is a low and long heavily customised drag version of the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 with custom parts that not only give the bike a very mean look but also quite a bit of power.

This is thanks to a beautiful custom twin cylinder big bore kit 865cc engine from S&S Cycles. The engine gets an upgraded camshaft, a reinforced clutch and Carillo connecting rods along with reworked cylinder heads. S&S Cycles has also supplied the 2 into one exhaust system and the ECU for the Pegasus Royal Enfield.

The Bad Winners team led by founder Walid Ben Lamine have also swapped out the airbox for a set of velocity stacks and for a bit more power added a nitrous system from Nitrous Express to the bike which should help it rocket down the drag strip. The team at Bad Winners have also rewired the entire systems from scratch for the Pegasus build.

To ensure the bike manages the power from the new S&S engine and nitrous oxide upgrades on the drag strip, the Bad Winners team stretched and braced the stock swing arm of the Continental GT 650 with the help of new Chromoly steel sections.

The stock twin shock setup from the Continental GT 650 has also been binned and replaced with an Ohlins mono shock unit The Pegasus also features a new upper shock mount and subframe along with the custom foot pegs that sit on extended mounts that are mounted as far back as humanly possible. The footpegs also feature custom controls and linkages to ensure everything works properly.

Keeping the Pegasus l'Étalon Noir on the tarmac are a set of Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SC2 tyres which are mounted onto custom aluminium wheels from Dynamag. To ensure the Pegasus Continental GT 650 comes to a full stop after a run down the drag strip is a set of disc brakes from Behringer.

Up at the front, this track monster is devoid of any lighting. It features Renthal clip-on handlebars and grips and Behringer brake levers. A Koso speedometer lets the rider know just how fast the bike is blasting down the drag strip.

The custom Continental GT 650 has also dropped off the rest of its body panels in the parts bin. Instead the team at bad winners have given it custom carbon-fibre body panels which give this monochromatic monster a really unique look. The tiny fuel tank (which holds less than half a gallon of fuel) can be accessed via a hole on the carbon-fibre fuel tank panel and is good for a speed run not exceeding an eighth of a mile.
