Here is one good reason to get your car insured. British actor who has gained global fame through the Mr. Bean comic series and many more is now the recipient of the most expensive car insurance payment in the UK.
We had earlier reported about how he had crashed his McLaren F1 super car in to a tree and had completely damaged the car. The F1 after a prolonged stay in a McLaren garage is now back to its original shape but is also carrying a hefty repair bill.

The insurance company has now paid an incredible £900,000. The cost is surprising considering Rowan Atkinson had paid about £640,000 when he bought the super car a decade ago. However, the McLaren F1 being a rare car has gained in value and is now said to be worth £3.5 billion.
The McLaren F1 is a unique super car. Its cockpit design is such that the driver of the car sits in the middle, very much similar to Formula 1 cars. The McLaren F1 can reach a top speed of 240mph (386.2kmph).
Insurers were ready to pay the heft bill only because the value of the McLaren F1 has increased over the years. The most expensive car insurance bill is a result of Rowan Atkinson driving over a slippery stretch of road and losing control of the car. The car hit a tree and its 6.1-litre V12 engine broke away and was found some 20 metres away from the crashed car.
