Nation's Youngest Serving MLA Acquires India's First Electric Mercedes G580 EQ
Rohith Mynampally, India's youngest serrving Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) has accquired the first electric Mercedes-Benz G580 . The MLA is part of the Congress party and represents the Medak constituency in the Telangana Legistlative Assembly is known for his impressive collection of high-end cars.
Rohith Mynampally's car collection is a ratger impressive one and includes cars like the Hummer H2 SUV, Ferrari 488 Spider supercar, and Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG performance SUV. His latest acquisition, the Mercedes G580 EQ, costs Rs 3 crores(ex-showroom) and is the electric iteration of the German marque's iconic Gelandewagen.
The Mercedes-Benz G580 EQ offers a host of advanced technology and luxury features, with the biggest highlight being the G Turn feature the German carmaker showcased at Auto Expo 2025. The G Turn allows the G-Wagon to perform 360-degree turns while remaining stationary.
The electric German SUV sports a a 116 kWh battery pack and can travel up to 473 km on a full charge. The battery pack powers 4 electric motors that generate 587 PS (making it the most powerful G-Class) and 1,164 Nm of torque, allowing the G580 EQ to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5 seconds and onward to an electronically limited 180 km/h.
Rohith Mynampally's enthusiasm for luxury extends beyond cars; he reportedly owns a private jet, although this remains unconfirmed. His interest in luxury vehicles is evident from his extensive collection also includes other prestigious models like the Mercedes-Benz Maybach S560, GMC Sierra, and Toyota Vellfire. These acquisitions highlight his penchant for luxury and cutting-edge technology.
This purchase of the G580 EQ by Rohith Mynampally underscores the growing trend among India's elite to invest in exclusive electric vehicles. As more people become environmentally conscious, the demand for such high-performance electric cars is expected to rise.
