The Rezvani Retro RR1 Is A Modified Porsche 911 Done Right
American car customizers Rezvani Motors has revealed the first offering from its new sub-brand Rezvani Retro. Dubbed the RR1 (Rezvani Retro 1) and limited to just 50 units, the new modified cars are based on the current version of the 911 but feature a retro body inspired by the 935 racer.
The Rezvani Retro RR1 is offered in three guises - RR1 550, RR1 565 and the RR1 750. The names refer to the horsepower output of the versions of the RR1 and are based on three different versions of the current 992-gen Porsche 911.

The entry-level RR1 550 is based on the current 911 Carrera S Turbo but offers enhanced throttle response, a lightweight carbon fibre body (common across all three variants), and suspension tuning options. For street use power is limited to 520bhp while track versions get 550bhp from the donor car's 3.0-litre turbocharged engine.
It shaves two-tenths of a second off the stock vehicle's 0-60mph (0-96.5km/h) time, accelerating in just 3.1 seconds. The RR1 550 is available with a seven-speed manual gearbox or an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The RR1 565 is the middle-of-the-road option but is perhaps the rarest of the trio as it is based on the GT3 and GT3 RS versions of the 992 Porsche 911. The RR1 565 offers a minor increase in horsepower from the race-bred Porsches with the street version featuring 535bhp and the track-spec car sporting 565bhp.
The flat-six engine that revs to 9,200rpm is offered with a six-speed manual or an eight-speed PDK transmission and can sprint from 0-60mph (0-96.5km/h) in just 3.0 seconds.

The top-of-the-line RR1 750 is based on the 911 Turbo S model and its twin-turbocharged 3.7-litre flat-six engine pushes out 750bhp in track guise and 715bhp in street form.
The RR1 750 is offered exclusively with all-wheel drive and the 8-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission. The RR1 750 can hit 0-60mph (0-96.5km/h) in two seconds flat, making it the quickest of the three versions of the Rezvani RR1.

Rezvani Motors will produce only 50 examples of the RR1, with the first five customers receiving a discounted price of $149,000 on top of the cost of the base Porsche model they supply. Production time for each RR1 is estimated to be between three to six months, depending on the customer's requests.
The tuner car looks quite stunning with its Porsche 935-inspired body. The custom carbon-fibre body RR1 measures 4,700mm long, 1,962mm wide and 1,296mm tall and features a 2,450mm long wheelbase. The RR1 rides on the 20-inch (front) and 21-inch (rear) wheels that are shod with 275/35 R20 (front) and 335/30 R21 (rear) tyres.

Rezvani claims it will tailor and adapt the suspension setup of the RR1 to the street based on customer preference. However, customers can also opt for the optional Ohlins Motorsport TTX-Pro Coilovers ($6,500 extra).
Other optional extras on the RR1 include a steel roll cage ($5,500), racing harness ($750), upgraded Brembo brakes ($7,500), lightweight Polycarbonate windows ($2,700) and custom livery graphics ($2,500).
