Douglas Martin Lampkin is a 12 time world champion, but he does not race. This world champion associated with Red Bull Racing is a world renowned motorcycle trials rider.
Motorcycle trails is a motorsport that has nothing to do with speed, but rather akin to athletics. Only, the athlete is on a motorcycle. A motorcycle trials rider is required to jump over extremely challenging obstacles, indoor and outdoor, over boulders and benches.
The motorcycle itself is like none other. They are specially designed, extremely springy bikes, without seats and are designed to be ridden standing up. These bikes are more adept at travelling vertically than travelling forward.
Dougie Martin is the best in the world when it comes to motorcycle trials and in this video below he demonstrate his extraordinary skills by performing in (literally) the Red Bull Racing Factory and office. Besides climbing staircases, jumping on and over tables and riding on transporters you'll even see Lampkin jump on and over Sebastian Vettel's Formula One race car, with engineers watching nervously.
