Ratan Tata Acquires Stake In Xiaomi Chinese Smartphone Maker
Tata Group ex-chairman, Ratan Tata is one of the best businessmen among Indians. He keeps a constant look out at upcoming brands and trends that interest him.
Now Ratan Tata has invested an undisclosed amount of money in Chinese smartphone maker, Xiaomi. He is one of the very first Indians to invest in this Chinese company.
Xiaomi is being touted as the Apple of China among smartphones. It has already reached the status of being the third largest smartphone seller in the world.
This is one of the six investments that Ratan Tata has made in digital space. Lei Jun, Founder and CEO Xiaomi announced the investment by the Indian businessman.
Xiaomi plans to introduce more smartphones in India. The Mi4i is their very first mobile that was launched out of China and it is on sale exclusively on Flipkart.
Ratan Tata has show his confidence and trusts that the Chinese smartphone maker is a force to reckon with. He has currently acquired shares in Bluestone, CarDekho, Snapdeal, Urban Ladder and One97.
Tata Motors will be launching its GenX Nano in India soon, it will be their very first model to have an openable boot and AMT option. They also plan on introducing several other new models for the growing market.
