Rare 1964 Ferrari 250 LM Fetches Millions At Auction
The cars of the The Pinnacle Portfolio are going under the hammer one by one and the latest to do so was a rare Ferrari 250 LM, that fetched a massive USD 17.6 million.
Another Ferrari 250 LM was auctioned by RM last year for USD 11.55 million. That particular model was crashed and damaged by fire previously.
The 250 LM from the Italian stable was showcased to the world during the 1964 Earls Court Motor Show and only 32 examples were ever made.
The car participated during the Le Mans Classic and Tour Auto. The vehicle even has matching engine and chassis number, which makes it truly original.
Powering the car is a 3.3-litre aluminium-block V12 engine delivering 320 horsepower and is mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The engine features six Weber carburettors, independent suspension and disc brakes for all four wheels.
