Severe Turbulence on Qatar Airways Doha-Dublin Flight Injures Twelve
A Qatar Airways flight from Doha to Dublin, Ireland, encountered severe turbulence on Sunday, resulting in injuries to 12 passengers. This incident follows a similar occurrence involving a Singapore Airlines flight, which led to one fatality and over 20 injuries.
The Qatar Airways flight, identified as QR 017, was approaching Dublin Airport when it encountered sudden turbulence. The turbulence caused passengers to be thrown around the cabin, leading to injuries for six passengers and six cabin crew members.
Following the incident, the flight crew immediately notified Dublin Airport authorities and declared an emergency landing.
Emergency services, including fire trucks, ambulances, and police, were deployed at the airport to assist with the landing. The aircraft landed safely, and the injured passengers were transported to nearby hospitals for medical attention.
