Venturi VBB-3, World's Most Powerful EV Unveiled By Prince Albert
Venturi Automobiles, the makers of the VBB-3 claim it to the most powerful electric vehicle in the world. The VBB-3, a land speed record vehicle, is also a laboratory, functioning as a testbed for advanced electric power trains and battery technology.
The Venturi VBB-3 is the result of an extensive collaboration between Venturi Automobiles and Ohio State University since 2009. The collaboration received its first dividend in 2010 when VBB-3 set a new land speed record for electric vehicles.
At present the Venturi team is in Wendover airfield, Utah, with their third generation Venturi VBB-3, Jamais Contente. It is claimed to be the most powerful EV in the world, with a power output of 3000 PS.
To cheer team and to lend his support Prince Albert II of Monaco with Princess Charlene landed in Wendover airfield and unveiled Jamais Contente. Gildo Pallanca Pastor, president of Venturi Automobiles happens to be from Monaco.

The team was in Wendover airfield attempting to break their own record of 495 km/h by attempting to reach 600 km/h with the battery powered vehicle. However, bad weather played spoilsport. The team will now have to wait till next year to attempt the record run once again at the Bonneville salt flats.
