Pregnant Women Are More Prone To Car Crashes
Research shows that pregnant women are more likely to have an accident while driving. The risk is even higher than other more extreme sports like para-sailing, deep sea diving, riding roller coasters, etc. The chances of a pregnant lady crashing a vehicle is higher than a lady that is not pregnant.
The research reveals statistics that roughly 42 percent of pregnant women are likely to be involved in an accident. Women that are in their first or second month of pregnancy have a higher possibility of being involved in an vehicle accident.
The research was carried out by Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences in Canada. They paid attention to over half a million women over a span of five years. It is through this they found out that women in their second month of pregnancy are most likely to have an accident in a vehicle.

The report could not conclude what increases the rate of accident though. However, one of the scientist believes it could be the fluctuations in hormonal changes, that a pregnant woman goes through.
It is important that we remind women that during pregnancy it is best if they do not drive. Even doctors should take the initiative and ask them to avoid being self driven. There is no harm if they are driven around during this delicate and important phase of life.
