Busted: Cops Confiscate Lamborghini Huracan And Take It For A Joy Ride
Fancy sports cars turn heads no matter where. The latest incident involves cops, who not only confiscated a Lamborghini Huracan, but also took it for a joy ride around the city.
It all started when Erwyn Mackee, the owner of the car as well as City Supercar, a car rental company based in London was pulled over. Mackee was delivering the car for a client to be used at a wedding.
The police assumed that the car had no insurance and wanted to impound the car. Despite emailing the insurance copy, police insisted on impounding the car and even threatened Mackee that he will be arrested.
The police did not believe the insurance document and even claimed that they were photoshopped. Eventually, the cops impounded the car and the tracker on the car recorded the Lamborghini clocking 63mhp (101km/h) in a 30mph (48km/h) zone, and doing 75km/h and 85km/h between 1:03 am and 1:05 am.
The next day, Mackee was handed back his car after he submitted necessary documents the next day. The whole irony is that Mackee also happens to be a lawyer and will be making a formal complaint to the Independent Police Complaints Commission.
