Pioneer India Unveils New Dashcams With Enhanced Safety Features
Pioneer India has launched a new range of dashcams, addressing safety needs with prices starting at ₹5,399. These cameras are part of the brand's 'Mobility AI' portfolio and are specifically designed for the Indian market. The lineup includes four models: VREC-H120SC, VREC-H320SC, VREC-H520DC, and VREC-Z820DC.
The top-tier model, VREC-Z820DC, is priced at ₹23,499. It features dual-channel recording with a rear camera included. This model offers 4K video recording, a 7.2 cm wide display, ADAS features, and AI-based night vision enhancement. It also logs GPS data and supports continuous loop recording. The camera can accommodate a microSD card of up to 1 TB and uses a Sony Starvis sensor with HDR capability.
Enhanced Features for Safety
All models in this range come equipped with AI Night Vision, ADAS Alerts, and Enhanced Parking Monitoring. Users can configure and access these cameras via an app over Bluetooth. The app allows connection through the camera's Wi-Fi network to watch recorded videos and create timelapses.
The VREC-H520DC is another premium option available for ₹18,499. It boasts a larger 7.6 cm IPS display and records in 2K resolution. This model supports up to 512 GB of storage via a microSD slot and includes loop recording and ADAS alerts.
Mid-Range and Entry-Level Options
The mid-range VREC-H320SC is priced at ₹11,399. It features a 7.6 cm IPS display and records in full HD resolution. This model supports up to 512 GB of external storage via microSD cards.
The most affordable variant is the VREC-H120SC, which costs ₹5,399. This compact dashcam records in 1296p resolution and supports up to 128 GB of external storage. It includes audio ADAS alerts and dual channel input slots but has a narrower field of view at 120 degrees compared to the other models' 139 degrees.
Durability and Resistance
Pioneer assures that these dashcams offer standard dust and heat resistance similar to other dashboard cameras on the market.
These new dashcams from Pioneer aim to enhance road safety by providing high-quality video recording capabilities along with advanced features like AI Night Vision and ADAS Alerts.
