Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Varahi’ Colour Row Ends - Gets Green Signal From Telangana Transport Authority
Pawan Kalyan yet again stirred up a controversy when he introduced his election campaign vehicle 'Varahi' on the social media.
While most politicians in India have traditionally preferred White coloured vehicles, Pawan Kalyan opted for an Olive Green shade for his election campaign vehicle.

Though Olive Green is a very attractive colour, unfortunately, the colour is only meant for military usage in India. With that, a new controversy stirred up in Telangana. In fact, in a war of tweets, Jana Sena Party chief, Pawan Kalyan even asked whether he would be able to wear an Olive Green shirt and whether he should be allowed to breathe.
Now, the colour row has come to an end after Telangana Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar confirmed that there are no objections over the registration of 'Varahi' related to its colour as the Tata Motors-made vehicle has all the necessary approval of the Telangana Transport Department.
In fact, prior to the registration, the vehicle body was thoroughly examined and the colour of 'Varahi' was confirmed to be 'Emerald Green' with colour code 445C44. In comparison, the Indian Military uses 'Olive Green' colour with colour code 7B8165. Moreover, the same has been mentioned in the Registration Certificate of the vehicle.
It is also worth mentioning that, the Telangana Deputy Transport Commissioner Papa Rao confirmed that the 'Varahi' is registered as a camper van for private use equipped with several facilities. On top of that, he also confirmed that the vehicle's colour is 'Emerald Green' and there are no issues with the chassis as well.
Diving into details, 'Varahi' is Pawan Kalyan's election campaign vehicle which will accompany him for the proposed state-wide 'Bus Yatra'. This proposed state-wide 'Bus Yatra' that is part of the 2024 elections in the Southern state of Telangana is scheduled to commence from January 2023 onwards.
Since Pawan Kalyan is a very prominent personality, his security is of utmost importance and the 'Varahi' has been built as per this requirement. Moreover, the 'Varahi' is capable of seating 3 people including Pawan Kalyan himself and sports all-around lighting to avoid inconvenience due to power shortages at election campaign locations. On top of that, the vehicle also comes with a modern sound system to deliver speeches in clarity. There are also CCTV cameras with real-time recording and play functions.
