Novitec Makes The Ferrari 812 Competizione Even More Powerful By Making It Louder
German tuning firm, Novitec has revealed its upgrade package for the Ferrari 812 Competizione. While not extensive as its other mods, Novitec's Ferrari 812 Competizione upgrade does give the limited-run car a good boost in power.
That brilliant prancing horse 6.5-litre V12 that produces 819bhp under the bonnet of the Ferrari 812 Competizione. Instead of spoiling things like some others by adding a turbo or doing an ECU flash, Novitec instead just made the 812 Competizione a little louder.
Novitec fitted the Ferrari 812 Competizione with a high-performance exhaust system with customers able to opt for active sound management, butterfly valves for us common folk. The system is offered in either stainless steel or Inconel.
So what has that performance exhaust system unlocked from the already mad 812 Competizione? Well, power is up by 35bhp to 854bhp while torque has also increased by 19Nm to 711Nm.
The louder and lighter exhaust system is not the only upgrade that Novitec is offering owners of the ultra-rare Ferrari 812 Competizione, limited to 999 units in coupe form and 599 in Aperta (convertible) guise.
Owners updating their rare prancing horses with Novitec can also opt for new NV10 forged wheels with the firm's branding that are manufactured by American marque Vossen.
These wheels measure 21 inches at the front and 22 inches at the rear. The custom rims are draped in sticky Michelin rubber measuring 275/30 ZR 21 at the front and 335/25 ZR 22 tyres. The rims are offered in black along with 70 more colour options.
Novitec also offers Sports Springs as part of its upgrade package for the Ferrari 812 Competizione, which should take its already crazy cornering action to new levels.
For those not wishing to scrape all that shiny bodywork when encountering an incline, Novitec does offer a front lift kit for the Ferrari 812 Competizione which lifts the front end by 40mm. Owners can lower the car manually by pressing a button or allow the system to do the deed on its own by pushing the speedo needle north of 80km/h.
As always, the interior upgrades, if wanted are only limited by the owner's imagination...
Thoughts About The Novitec Ferrari 812 Competizione
Novitec's upgrades to the limited-run Ferrari 812 Competizione seem quite tame compared to the firm's other creations. However, it does show us just how a properly set up exhaust system can extract more power when it is not suffocating the output.
