Drag Race: Nissan Juke R vs Bugatti Veyron
At this point in time you have heard and seen enough about the Veyron to know how bonkers it is. But what about the Nissan Juke R? This might need some introduction for the uninitiated. Simply put, the Juke R is what results from the unholy union of the Nissan GT-R and the Nissan Juke crossover.
The Juke R project began with the simple idea of fitting Nissan GT-R's VR engine, the 3.8 liter twin turbo V6 unit, into the Juke's smaller body. The exercise proved a lot more complicated than in theory. After months of engineering, research and trial and error the team managed to cramp the V6 into a suitably modified engine bay. The rest was simpler. Pack in some performance parts and the 545 HP Juke R monstrosity was ready.
Ever heard of a petrol head who thinks ‘so much power is enough power'? Of course not. A certain Shpilli Villi Engineering decided to tune the Juke R so that this particular one has an astounding 700 HP at its disposal. The only thing left to do was pit the ludicrously powerful Juke R against the resident crazy production car of the auto world, the quad turbo Bugatti Veyron. Watch the mile long drag race below.
