Need For Speed Movie Stunt By Lance Gilbert Showcased In Video
The Need For Speed movie is likely to be cliched in terms of story, but we can most certainly expect lots of spectacular supercar racing, thrilling stunts and car crashes. The trailer certainly promises a lot in that front.

Speaking about action sequences in the Need For Speed movir, it turns out the man behind it all is none other than Hollywood stuntman and coordinator Lance Gilbert. The man is responsible for some famous action scenes from movies such as Terminator 3, Fast Five and Gone In Sixty Seconds.
This third gen stunt man brings with him generations worth of experience and passion, and in the following video - which is part of a video series called Outperformer, by automotive lubricants company Royal Purple - he speaks about a particular action sequence which involves a Koenigsegg flipping over and crashing (a replica, of course).
The director initially considered the stunt to be too difficult to be performed live and planned to use CGI instead. That was until Lance Gilbert convinced him that it could be pulled off in real. The video gives us the first behind the scenes look at a stunt scene from the movie and reveals the extent of preparation that's required to achieve the desired results.
