MS Dhoni recently set fire on social media by claiming that he is going to start a new team of his own. Following this, many congratulated MS Dhoni on his next adventure.
However, a closer look reveals that the viral post was just a cryptic ad. Given the fact that MS Dhoni is already the brand ambassador for Citroen in India, many may think that Dhoni will start his team with backing from Citroen.
We believe this is not the case. In fact, we think this latest post from MS Dhoni could be the teaser of Citroen's upcoming product in India. This makes better sense as Citroen is eagerly waiting to launch new products in the country.
The upcoming products from Citroen India include the much-anticipated Citroen Basalt SUV Coupe, and C3 Automatic. We expect Citroen India to launch these new vehicles before the yearend, possibly ahead of the festive season itself to capitalise on the market push.
With the launch of these new products, Citroen India's product lineup will witness a significant expansion. As a result, the French automaker will be aiming to significantly improve its sales figures across the country.
Also, with the launch of the above-mentioned new products, Citroen India's product lineup will include models such as C3 hatchback, C3 Aircross, Basalt, and C5 Aircross. It is also worth mentioning that the automatic version of the C3 hatchback is awaited for a long time in the country.
That being said, we strongly suspect MS Dhoni's "New Team" is strongly tied to Citroen's upcoming cars. If this is not true, we are more than happy to see MS Dhoni's new team in action.
