Former Indian cricket team captain MS Dhoni has taken delivery of the TVS Ronin. The CSK captain is a massive petrolhead and the new TVS Ronin joins a host of other motorcycles and cars in Dhoni's collection.

During his playing days for the Indian team, Dhoni was the brand ambassador for the TVS Star City commuter motorcycle. The new Ronin from TVS joins a garage that features many motorcycles and cars though Mahi's latest may just be his first hybrid vehicle.

And this is not the first time the former Indian captain has gone down the green vehicle route. Dhoni was recently seen ferrying his CSK teammates in the Kia EV6, one of the most powerful EVs currently on sale in India.

However, unlike the Ronin which features mild-hybrid technology in the form of an integrated starter generator, most of the bikes in MS Dhoni's collection are more focused on anything other than frugality.

The former Indian captain has a collection of older classics that ruled our streets in the 1990s like the RD 350, Rajdoot and the Suzuki Shogun along with modern-day missiles like the Kawasaki Ninja H2. Dhoni's collection also features quite a few Harley-Davidsons and even a Confederate X132 Hellcat.

The new Ronin is not the only TVS in Dhoni's bike collection. The last Indian captain to win the World Cup also has a TVS Apache RR 310 in his garage. However, unlike the race-ready RR 310, Mahi's latest ride is a cruiser.

The new Ronin added to MS Dhoni's collection is powered by a 225.9cc single-cylinder engine with an integrated starter generator ensuring quiet startups along with enhanced frugality. The Ronin's engine produces 20bhp and 19.93Nm of peak torque which is sent to the rear wheel via a 5-speed gearbox with a slipper and assist clutch for faster and smoother shifts. The TVs Ronin has a top speed of 120km/h.

The Ronin sports 41mm upside-down front forks and a monoshock at the rear to take care of the rough stuff. Braking duties are handled by a 300mm disc at the front and a 240mm disc at the rear that are aided by single-channel ABS.

The Ronin rides on 17-inch alloy wheels shod with 110/70 (front) and 130/70 tyres that have been specifically made for the cruiser motorcycle from TVS.

Thoughts About MS Dhoni's Newest Ride

MS Dhoni has always been a petrolhead. From taking teammates on rides in his Hummer to showing off his love for the RD 350, the former Indian captain's love for everything automotive is very well know. Mahi's latest ride is the TVS Ronin which may just be the first hybrid (mild) in his collection.
