MS Dhoni's Newest Ride Is Another Beautifully Restored Yamaha RD350
Former Indian cricket team captain M.S. Dhoni has added yet another restored Yamaha RD350 to his collection. Captain Cool's love for the RD350 is well known and his latest acquisition is just another sign of that.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni's latest Yamaha RD350 is the work of Chandigarh-based customizers Blue Smoke Customs. And his isn't even the first restored RD350 that the former Indian captain has purchased from the customizers from Chandigarh.
Thala's latest Yamaha RD350 features a few unique touches that make the restored motorcycle that little bit more special for the former Indian captain.
The first of these and the most visible is the custom paint job that the restored Yamaha two-stroke motorcycle is sporting. Mahi's restored two-stroke motorcycle is finished in a stunning shade of green that catches your eye.
The other custom detail that links M.S. Dhoni to his latest custom ride is the number '7' on the fuel tank. That detail to anyone who hasn't been living under a rock for the past 20 years in India is a nod to his jersey number that he still wears to this day as the captain of the Chennai Super Kings IPL franchise.
The rest of the fully restored RD350 is quite easy on the eyes as well. The fuel tank sports the stylised Rajdoot logo which looks to have been fully chromed out. The side panels wear the '350 Torque Induction' badges.
There is even more chrome to be seen on the CSK captain's restored Yamaha RD350 with the fenders and the headlight surround of the two-stroke icon being finished in the extra-shiny material. Also seen are the two-stroke RD350's twin exhaust pipes and twin disc brakes at the front.
The only detail about the version of the RD350 that has been picked up by Mahendra Singh Dhoni is the #rd350ht used by the customizers from Chandigarh. This suggests that Dhoni's new ride is the High torque version of the RD350 which used to develop around 30.5bhp when new.
