MotorSport Vision In The Race To Buy Britain’s Biggest Race Track
Former Formula One driver Jonathan Palmer stated that his company MotorSport Vision(MSV) is willing to buy Silverstone race track, if it's invited to do so. Palmer hopes that Silverstone owners, British Racing Drivers' Club(BRDC) will open bidding for his company, which is one of largest circuit operator in UK.
Palmer commented on this issue just weeks after Jaguar Land Rover hit a setback, JLR could not come to an agreement with Porsche, and the deal is stalled. With the two rival manufacturers facing problems, MSV will not face such problems as it does not make cars.
MSV also has a vast experience in operating circuits. It currently operates British circuits such as, Oulton Park and Brands Hatch, and the firm is also building a automotive complex in France. MSV's strong financial stability will also be a plus point in this matter.
If MSV is in race for buying Silverstone, it may probably face competition from Lawrence Tomlinson, a multi-millionaire businessman who owns racing outfit Team LNT. But Tomlinson has not yet commented on the issue. It is still unclear about the future owner of Silverstone circuit.
