MotoGP In India - Buddh International Circuit Successful Inspection

With the first MotoGP race in India coming closer as the days go by, preparations are going on at the track to make sure it is race ready. Dorna Sports, the MotoGP Commercial rights holder, took a 12-member team to do an inspection around the Buddh International Circuit. This was led by Dorna's Events Director, Norma Luna.

Along with Norma Luna went Daniel Trujillo (Technical Director), Enrique Aguilar (Live Coverage Director), and other officials of MotoGP marketing and sponsoring teams. This team studied the circuit intently to evaluate various technical aspects and broadcast setup facilities. To deliver a world-class event, the team will need to make sure all the fronts are taken care of.

The COO of the events' Indian promoters, Pushkar Nath Srivastava, was certain that the Buddh Circuit could host one of the biggest sporting events and said, "With less than 124 days for the mega event, we had some important operational discussions as well as detailed marketing, branding, sponsorship and conversation related to the broadcast of the race. It is heartening to see how important MotoGP Bharat is from the Global perspective as well as for us, the Indians with stakeholders alongside the government."

MotoGP, not only showcases the track but also the tourism potential for the hosts. The Dorna team took their opportunity to visit one of the world's most noticeable sites, home to Uttar Pradesh, the Taj Mahal. The Taj Mahal was just two hours away from the track for the team, and they were left start-struck by its magnificence.
