Feel the Thrill: IndianOil Grand Prix of India Set to Begin!
The excitement is building for the IndianOil Grand Prix of India, also known as MotoGP Bharat, as the designated safety car and motorbike make their arrival at Buddh International Circuit. This highly anticipated event is slated for September 22-24.
Prior to the kick-off of MotoGP Bharat, three separate loads of safety gear hit the ground in New Delhi and were swiftly delivered to the main event site in the early hours of September 16, 2023. Amongst the safety fleet, a BMW M5CS will be standing by, its presence crucial to provide immediate medical support if any mishap occurs during the first lap. The safety car will also be on standby to scrutinise the track conditions as required.

The safety lineup, including a BMW M2 (G87) and a BMW M3 touring, is scheduled to complete the assembly on the circuit prior to the first light of the next day - Sunday. Adding to the safety apparatus is the BMW M 1000 RR motorcycle, which will be put into action throughout the weekend race at the Buddh International Circuit. The safety car's début in the race is stationed at the back of the grid and trails the competitors in the opening lap before ducking back into the pit lane.
Earlier this week, we saw the arrival of few of the MotoGP Bikes, and Amit Sandill, the Racing Director of Fairstreet Sports, said, "The arrival of equipment has added to the excitement of the race. Most of the bikes for the event landed in New Delhi and were transported to the Buddh International Circuit under heavy police security. The remaining bikes and equipment will arrive in the next lot."

Also, the Buddh International Circuit has been redone with Red and White curbs and run-off areas for the safety of the bikers. These curbs will allow the bikers to see the upcoming corners from a further distance and prepare themselves to get the ideal line through the track.
Staged under the joint venture of FairStreet Sports and Dorna Sports, IndianOil Grand Prix of India is anticipated to be a nail-biting spectacle, boasting 41 teams with 82 riders, and including eminent names such as Francesco Bagnaia, Marc Marquez, Marco Bezzecchi, Brad Binder, Jack Miller, and Jorge Martin participating in the MotoGP™, Moto2, and Moto3 classes.
