Montra Electric Hosts India's Premier EV Super League To Address Range Anxiety

Montra Electric, a leading EV brand from the 124-year-old Murugappa Group, is hosting the Montra Electric Super League (MSL). This event, co-powered by Chola Finance, features 10 teams of 17 auto drivers each, known as 'Super Riders'. The league aims to change perceptions about electric vehicles (EVs) in the three-wheeler community.

The MSL encourages participants to drive long distances with top-up charging throughout the day. This helps to address common concerns like range anxiety. The competition includes 170 Super Riders from across India, including women auto drivers. Teams compete to cover the most kilometers, with the highest mileage team winning.

Focus on EV Capabilities

Mr. Roy Kurian, Business Head of Montra Electric Last Mile Mobility, stated, "Through the Montra Electric Super League, we aim to demonstrate the extraordinary capabilities of our Super Autos and showcase our firm commitment to improving the lives of our Super Riders." This initiative highlights Montra Electric's dedication to enhancing EV technology and supporting its drivers.

Chola Finance has also introduced an educational program for the finalists' children. Mr. Aman Sharma, President & Business Head - Vehicle Finance at Chola Finance said, "We are delighted to partner with Montra Electric in bringing forth this first ever Super League Tournament for auto drivers. We are also happy to announce Chola's Super Dream Children Education program to the finalists of the tournament."

Scoring System and Rewards

The scoring system in MSL is designed to motivate and reward participants. Each kilometer driven by the top 14 riders of each team equals one run. Additional runs are awarded for referrals leading to deliveries or live bookings and quality customer testimonial videos. Teams advance through matches based on total points and runs accumulated, progressing to quarter-finals, semi-finals, and a grand finale.

Educational Support for Finalists

Chola Finance has pledged free education for life for up to 68 children of Super Riders who reach the final stages of the tournament. This initiative emphasizes their commitment to improving lives beyond just financial support. It aligns with their goal of enabling customers to achieve a better life through innovative financing solutions.

The Montra Electric Super League began on July 5th and will conclude in early September with a grand finale. The winning Super Riders will be honored at a special event at Montra Electric's factory in Chennai. Here, they will witness how their vehicles are manufactured, adding a unique experience to their journey.
