McLaren P1 At Dunsfold Sets Blisteringly Quick Acceleration Figures

Enough people have lauded the McLaren P1 for its performance and how blisteringly fast it is in a racing circuit. It is not surprising considering McLaren built the P1 from the ground up with the intention of making it best driver's car.

So, how quick exactly is the McLaren? While the company did give some official numbers, we now have the very first, real world performance numbers coming from Motor Trend.

MT reviewer Carlos Lago recently drove the P1 around the Dunsfold airfield in the U.K., the same place where Top Gear has its test track. From this his test run Lago established some acceleration times for the P1, which are as follows:

0-96 km/h: 2.6 seconds
0 - 160 km/h: 4.7 seconds
The car swallowed the distance of 400 meters in 9.8 seconds, while travelling at 238 km/h.
