Maruti's New Car To Cost Less Than Nano
Maruti Suzuki is planning to kick up a huge storm this year by launching an ultra low cost four wheeler. So agressive will the automakers pricing be that it will rival not just its nearest competitor Tata Motor's Nano, but even some motorcycles, according to industry sources.
Not many details about the upcoming car is known, including the name. However, it only sounds right for Maruti to come out with a budget model considering it has lead the segment ever since the first Maruti 800 was launched in 1984. Check the gallery below for further details

Tata Motor's Nano is currently not only India's cheapest car, but also the world's. With a starting price of just INR 1.41 lakhs it is among the most affordable cars ever.

However, Tata Nano sales have been stagnant for many months. Reports even tell of hundreds of units sitting idle in Tata Motor's manufacturing plant.

The new Maruti Suzuki model hopes to win over customers not just with a lower price tag, but also with a more contemporary design. One that does not look cheap.
