Mahindra Racings Latest Signing: Meet Nyck De Vries and Edoardo Mortara 

Mahindra Racing is thrilled to welcome Nyck De Vries and Edoardo Mortara to the team. They join the team with a multi-year contract, and are expected to compete from Season 10 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.

This signing marks a fresh momentum for the Mahindra Racing squad, which is the only remaining team from India and the last of the founding Formula E teams maintaining their original identity on the grid. Recruiting drivers of De Vries and Mortara's distinction is a promising stride in their conquest to reclaim Championship contention after initial challenges with the new Gen3 regulations in Season 9.

De Vries, the inaugural World Champion of Formula E in Season 7, is making a comeback to the sport after racing for Williams and Scuderia AlphaTauri in Formula 1. His commendable talent, marked by four victories and four additional spots on the podium, will be crucial for the team's progression.

De Vries, who has had a successful career in karting, won the 2014 Formula Renault Eurocup and went on to excel in Formula Renault 3.5 and GP3 Series, finally securing the 2019 FIA Formula 2 title. Swiss-Italian driver Edoardo Mortara will team up with De Vries for Season 10. Mortara, aged 36, has made his mark in the sport with his victory in the 2010 Formula Three Euroseries, as well as triumphing twice on Macau's famous track.

After asserting his dominance in DTM, Mortara transitioned to single-seaters in 2017 making his impressive Formula E debut in Hong Kong. He has added six victories and an equal number of podiums to his record since then.

These two new additions to the team, who were both title contenders in Season 7, bookmark a fresh episode in the team's journey. The goal is to vie for the Championship title in the coming seasons. Their cars, bearing a new striking livery, will be revealed prior to the season's first race in Mexico City on January 13, 2024.Mahindra Racing CEO Frédéric Bertrand expressed his enthusiasm over the new recruitment and shared his optimism for the promising future they intend to build.

Both De Vries and Mortara shared their excitement about this new chapter in their careers and appreciated the team's ambition and determination. They also acknowledged the support from Mahindra Automotive in potentiating their success on the track.

De Vries and Mortara are gearing up for Season 10, the official pre-season test in Valencia, Spain at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo commencing next month [23-27 October]. Mahindra Racing boasts a robust partnership network, including Official Powertrain Partner ZF, e-fluids partner Shell, Official Timekeeper Maurice Lacroix, and Tech Mahindra as the Digital Transformation Partner.
