MA Yusuff Ali Upgrades To A Gulfstream G600 Private Jet
MA Yusuff Ali, Managing director of Lulu Hypermarket, has acquired a new Gulfstream G600, a luxurious private jet manufactured by Gulfstream Aerospace. This company is a subsidiary of General Dynamics, based in Virginia, USA. His previous aircraft was also from Gulfstream Aerospace.
The Gulfstream G600, with registration T7-YMA, was produced in December 2023. It boasts an impressive range of 6600 nautical miles and can accommodate up to 19 passengers. The jet is powered by Pratt and Whitney engines, allowing it to reach speeds of up to 925 kmph. Gulfstream claims it is the fastest long-range private jet available.

Specifications and Performance
This aircraft first appeared in 2014 and was delivered to its initial owner in 2019. Since then, over 100 units have been sold. A notable performance record includes a flight from Savannah, Georgia to Geneva completed in just 7.21 hours. The G600 can fly non-stop routes such as New York to Dubai, London to Beijing, and Los Angeles to Shanghai.
The Pratt and Whitney 815 GA engines provide each engine with 15680 lbs of thrust. The jet requires a runway length of 5700 feet for takeoff and 3100 feet for landing. It can ascend to altitudes of up to 51000 feet and handle a maximum takeoff weight of 94600 lbs, with a landing weight capacity of up to 76800 lbs.

Comfort and Safety Features
Gulfstream asserts that the G600 has the quietest cabin among business and private jets. The aircraft combines luxury with safety features like the award-winning Gulfstream Cemetery Flight Duck system. Enhanced flight vision systems enable landings even in low visibility conditions.
The interior is designed for comfort with seating for up to 19 people and sleeping arrangements for up to 10 individuals. It features 14 signature oval windows from Gulfstream, providing ample natural light.

The aircraft measures 96.1 feet in length, stands at a height of 25.3 feet, and has a wingspan of 94.2 feet. Inside, the cabin dimensions are 51.2 feet long, 7.6 feet wide, and 6.2 feet high. The cost of this state-of-the-art aircraft is approximately Rs 500 crore.
