Log9 & TORK Motors Join Hands To Revolutionize Charging Infrastructure
Log9 and TORK Motors have joined forces to boost the development of interoperable charging infrastructure throughout the country. This collaborative venture is a part of the Bharat Charge Alliance (BCA) initiative and both companies involved are active members of the BCA.
Introducing Type 6-Bharat LEV Fast Charging
Log9 has launched the Type 6-Bharat LEV fast charging feature across its new range of battery platforms in the 2W/3W sector. Type 6 is anticipated to become the low-voltage fast charge norm in the next generation, with a multitude of Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) expected to adopt the same.
Mutual Benefits Of The Partnership
Under this collaboration, TORK Motors and Log9 aim to enable their customers to take advantage of the chargers and charging network of each brand. This network is based on the LEV DC interoperable standard of BCA (IS 17017-25 & IS 17017-2-6 released by BIS in 2021).
This agreement also indicates that both companies will mutually agree and implement any technological advancements, including updates in the connector, protocol, and payment gateway, to maintain sustained interoperability.
Furthermore, both companies will collectively promote BCA's LEV DC interoperable charging infrastructure and facilitate their respective customers to charge on each other's public charging network. Also, any other OEM customers who implement the IS 17017-2-6 & IS 17017-25 standard will be able to utilize the combined network for charging their vehicles.

Kartik Hajela, COO-Log9, commented on the partnership saying, "Log9, a significant advocate for interoperable fast charge protocols between OEMs, believes that the Bharat LEV or type 6 technology introduced by the government will help standardise fast charging across platforms.
