Log9 Materials Partners With cKers Finance To Accelerate MaaS
Battery-tech and advanced materials startup company, Log9 Materials has announced its partnership with cKers Finance to accelerate MaaS (Mobility-as-a-Service) using electric vehicles.
cKers Finance has also provided an initial facility of Rs 10 Crore to Log9 Mobility to accelerate the deployment of electric vehicles equipped with Log9's InstaCharge battery pack for the Mobility-as-a-Service (Maas) business model.
Speaking at the occasion, Dr Akshay Singhal, Founder & CEO, Log9 said, "Log9 is continuously working on integrating its battery technology with Electric Vehicle OEMs for different form factors including e2-wheelers, e3-wheelers, e4-wheelers and e-buses. We are also working with different stakeholders to build a robust EV fast-charging infrastructure in the Indian market. Our technology solution addresses a lot of key challenges such as battery life, quick charging and vehicle safety. We are delighted to partner with cKers Finance to enable deployment of Log9 battery-based vehicles in India."
In addition to that, Log9 Mobility is gearing up to deploy over 1,000 Omega Seiki's Range+ RapidEV three-wheelers under the Mobility-as-a-Service model with third-party logistics (3PL) service providers. An advantage of the Mobility-as-a-Service model is that the model allows customers to onboard vehicles with no upfront capital cost or own the vehicle.
Speaking about the partnership, Deepak Gupta, Business Development Head at cKers said "We are excited to have partnered with Log9, which shares our vision of promoting sustainability in transportation. cKers has been investing in EVs for over 2 years now and has already committed lines enabling the deployment of over 3,000 e2Ws and 1,000 electric e3W-loaders, giving it a head start in financing clean mobility. We have launched our Driver-cum-owner (DCO) program which will create accessibility of green finance for drivers looking to become owners and shift from traditional fossil fuel-based ICE vehicles to EVs. cKers is bullish about the evolution of a strong EV ecosystem and the growth that it will create for the Indian economy."
Log9 Materials partnered with Pi Beam and the duo will be working together to boost last-mile delivery operations in India. To achieve the goal, Log9 Materials will empower Pi Beam's logistics using InstaCharge battery packs to reduce downtime.
For this, Log9 Materials will supply the Rage+ RapidEV electric three-wheelers equipped with InstaCharge battery packs. This battery pack is equipped with InstaCharge technology, the Rage+ RapidEV can charge from 0 to 100 per cent in just 35 minutes.
Recently, Log9 Materials launched the 'One Less Ride Campaign' to promote individual-level participation in the fight against climate change on World Earth Day. This campaign also urged every citizen of the world to think if there is a better way to commute before they turn on their vehicles.
Log9 Materials also claim that its indigenously developed battery packs will be available in the market in the coming months and also claims that these batteries can charge 9X faster, 9X battery life and also provide 9X performance.
These battery packs from Log9 Materials are also claimed to be extremely durable as these battery packs can operate between temperatures ranging from -30°C to 60°C - making them suitable for Indian conditions. This is very important as Niti Aayog member Shri V K Saraswat said that "imported cells may not be suitable for Indian conditions".
Thoughts About Partnership Between Log9 Materials & cKers Finance
The new partnership between Log9 Materials and cKers Finance will accelerate the MaaS business model using electric vehicles. This will have a direct impact on the use of EVs for last-mile logistics, which in turn will promote the use of EVs in the market.
