Battery-tech and advanced materials startup company, Log9 Materials has collaborated with IIT-Delhi in order to promote superlative research and development in the areas of developing advanced battery and energy storage solutions. This includes battery packs for electric vehicles.

According to Log9 materials, the company has signed a three-year strategic collaboration with the Centre for Automotive Research and Tribology (CART) at the IIT-Delhi. The collaboration was established and finalised through an umbrella MoU that was recently signed between Delhi Science and Technology (S&T) Cluster, and Log9 Materials Scientific.

Speaking about the Delhi Science and Technology (S&T) Cluster, it is managed by DRIIV (Delhi Research Implementation and Innovation) Foundation, which itself is an initiative by the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the government of India.

As per Log9 Materials, Delhi Research Implementation and Innovation Foundation has agreed to facilitate long-term collaboration as they will work on a variety of academic and industry-oriented projects in the coming years.

Speaking on the collaboration, Dr Akshay Singhal, founder and CEO, Log9 Materials said, "With the electric mobility and energy sectors in India growing rapidly over the last few years, a dire need has been felt for industry-academia partnerships to promote innovation, research and talent in these sectors. Recently, Log9 Materials had announced the launch of its battery replacement and retro fitment service in partnership with SpareIt. With this partnership in action, Log9 Materials will roll out its battery replacement and fitment service through the SpareIt service network across the country.
