Log9 Launches ‘One Less Ride Campaign’: Aims To Promote Individual-Level Action Against Climate Change
Battery-tech and advanced materials startup company, Log9 Materials has launched 'One Less Ride Campaign' to promote individual-level action to fight climate change on World Earth Day.
The ‘One Less Ride' campaign urges every citizen in the world to pause for a moment this World Earth Day and think if there is a better way to commute before they turn on their vehicles.
Speaking about the ‘One Less Ride' campaign, it is an online-first campaign spearheaded by Log9 Materials with an objective to reduce the use of conventional vehicles and promote the use of more sustainable and eco-friendly modes of commute.
Speaking on the campaign, Dr Akshay Singhal, Founder & CEO of Log9 Materials says, "Climate change has been a slow phenomenon but one with serious repercussions on every living being on this planet, and therefore talking on it one day in a year will not suffice to arrest the downslide, leave apart reversing the damage done. That being said, we at Log9 have rolled out the One Less Ride movement - as we strongly believe that when it comes to our fight against climate change, every single action counts. By pledging to give our petrol and diesel vehicles a rest for one day and further motivating your friends, family, and social circles to do so with the hashtag and urge #DontTurnOn, we are attempting to catalyze large-scale positive behaviour change and Responsible Action toward environment-friendly mobility."
Recently, Log9 Materials also partnered with Pi Beam to boost last-mile delivery operations in India. For this, Log9 Materials will empower Pi Beam's logistics using InstaCharge battery packs to reduce downtime by supplying Rage+ RapidEV electric 3-wheelers equipped with RapidX battery packs.
Thanks to this battery pack equipped with InstaCharge technology, the Rage+ RapidEV can charge from 0 to 100 per cent in just 35 minutes, thus increasing the overall uptime significantly.
In addition to this partnership Log9 Materials also signed an MoU with EKA, where Log9 Materials will supply RapidX battery packs for the EKA E9 electric buses and upcoming Light Commercial Vehicles by the EV manufacturer.
Thanks to the above partnership, EKA and Log9 is targeting to deploy at least 10,000 LCVs and more than 200 electric buses with RapidX battery packs in less than one year.
In addition to the fast charging capabilities of the RapidX battery packs, these state-of-the-art battery packs come with 15 years warranty and can last more than 15,000 charge-discharge cycles. The company also claims that these batteries can charge 9X faster, 9X battery life and also provide 9X performance.
In addition to that, these battery packs are claimed to be extremely durable in all climatic conditions given that these battery packs can operate between temperatures ranging from -30°C to 60°C.
A while back, Log9 Materials also partnered with IIT-Delhi to promote superlative research and development in the areas of developing advanced battery and energy storage solutions.
According to Log9 Materials, the RapidX battery packs will be available in the market within the next 3 to 6 months and one of the advantages of using the RapidX battery packs on electric vehicles is the reduced charging time.
Thoughts About Log9's ‘One Less Ride' campaign
Log9 Materials is doing everything in its stride to reduce carbon footprint. In addition to that, the company is pushing itself to make an impact in the EV sector and be part of the bigger change. Moreover, the latest campaign by the startup company focuses on an individual level to reduce carbon emissions and urges citizens to use the official hashtag #DontTurnOn to be a part of this campaign.
