1000 Watt Laser Makes Rust Evaporate — Is It The Perfect Car Restoration Tool?
Rust is the bane of any vehicle. When you find a car or bike in the back of barn the biggest problem you face before you even think of restoring the vehicle is rust.
However, car restorers around the world should take a look at some tech that seems more at home in the world of Star Wars — Lasers.
Yes you read that right, lasers are apparently quite brilliant at removing rust as the 1000-watt QF-1000 handheld laser demonstrates in the video above. The laser's energy is absorbed by the dirt and rust which forces them to evaporate.
HHowever, there is one rather big problem with the QF-1000, the price. While the price of the 1000-watt rust death ray hasn't been revealed, a lower powered version in the 50-watt range is priced at €47,800 (Rs. 35.69 lakhs).
