The Kitty Hawk flying car is an electrical aircraft resembling jet ski and weighs 100kg with a top speed of 40km/h. The flying car funded by Larry Page will go on sale later this year.
Kitty Hawk is the "flying car" company that's funded by Google founder Larry Page, and today it has released the first video of its prototype aircraft.

Kitty Hawk calls the Kitty Hawk Flyer as an "all-electric aircraft" that is intended to operate over water and doesn't require a pilot's license to fly. It weighs 100kg with a top speed of 40km/h and will go on sale later this year.
The singe-seater, propeller-driven aircraft is intended for a short flight across a lake when you're at the cottage. Watch the footage of the first flight of Kitty Hawk Flyer.

The flying car named for the site of the Wright Brothers' first successful flight in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, the aircraft might look to viewers as more a big drone with a person in it rather than a camera.

The company hasn't revealed what the Flyer precisely is for, nor has it confirmed the price for the retail model.

However, Kitty Hawk is alluring eager pilots with a $100 three-year membership which offers priority placement on a waiting list, company-branded gear, and exclusive access to a flight simulator and company events. Also, members will get a $2,000 discount off the final retail price.

The flying car is regarded to be an Ultralight aircraft per FAA laws, which is why a pilot's license is not required. The company states that there are no proposals to export the flying car outside the US.
