This Battered Lamborghini Countach Is Expected To Sell For $2 Million - Here's The Reason Why
If you're a car enthusiast or a film buff, brace yourself for some exciting news. The infamous wrecked Lamborghini Countach from Martin Scorsese's 2013 blockbuster hit "The Wolf of Wall Street" is set to be auctioned later this month.
The iconic white Lamborghini, a Countach 25th Anniversary, played a memorable role in one of the film's most unforgettable scenes, will cross the auction block on November 25th at the Bonhams Auction in Abu Dhabi, which is the Saturday of the final F1 Grand Prix weekend of the current season.

The white Lamborghini Countach, a masterpiece which in its heyday adorned the wall of many a teenager, gained legendary status once again after it was featured in an iconic scene from the 2013 Wolf of Wall Street flick.
In the said scene, Leonardo DiCaprio's character, Jordan Belfort, is seen tumbling down the stairs of a hotel before crawling his way to his Countach. Belfort, who is under the influence of Lemmons 714, the holy grail of Quaaludes opens the car's iconic scissor door with his foot, crawls in and then drives back home.

The result of his drive which also saw him arguing with his wife, Naomi (played by Margot Robbie), was a comedic, albeit disastrous, episode that left the luxury vehicle in ruins and was shown to the world in flashbacks.
However, Bonhams reveals that white Countach survived the scene with minimal damage. To give the car its damaged look, director Martin Scorcese ordered the crew to use an additional car and a flatbed truck to inflict additional damage to the iconic Italian supercar.

This particular model is a 25th-anniversary edition Countach and sports the chassis no. ZA9CA05A6KLA12692. It differed from the regular Countach in terms of its looks thanks to some extensive styling changes made by Horacio Pagani, yes, that Pagani.
Powering the Countach 25th Anniversary is a 5.2-litre V12 engine that produced 420bhp and 462Nm of peak torque. A 5-speed manual gearbox sent the engine's power to the rear wheels. The Countach 25th Anniversary sprinted from 0-60 miles/hour(0-96.5km/h) in 4.7 seconds and a claimed top speed of 295km/h.

Bonhams estimates that the car will fetch between 1.5 and 2 million U.S. dollars (Rs 12.48 to 16.64 crore), a significant premium considering a regular Countach usually fetches around $700,000 (Rs 5.82 crore).
This potential price tag reflects the unique appeal of this car - it's not just a wrecked Lamborghini, but a symbol of the excess and audacity depicted in Scorsese's Wolf Of Wall Street film.

Whoever wins the auction for the wrecked, white Lamborghini Countach will also get a Jordan Belfort costume, a director's chair and a clapboard, both signed by Scorsese, DiCaprio, and Robbie, 2 crew hoodies, and 2 DVDs of the film.
