KTM And Kurt Caselli; A Tragic End
The 2013 edition of Baja 1000 witnessed, the tragic loss of Kurt Caselli. This resolute and dauntless racer stamped his name in AMA, ISDE and WORCS Championship at an early age. Caselli was a popular figure in the KTM outfit, and a role model for young talent and fans.
This American Champion spearheaded the KTM Factory team in various international rallies. The high point of his career came in the Dakar Rally, where he won two stages replacing the injured Marc Coma ‘Triple Dakar Rally Champion'.
Kurt Caselli was leading the Baja 1000 race in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico, however his race was cut short as he succumbed to a fatal accident. On investigating the crashed bike, evidence of collision with an animal were clear and was ruled the cause of accident.
Caselli's death has been mourned across the Globe. Not only was he a good rider, but a good human being, whose career was cut short. If you haven't witnessed Kurt Caselli's riding, check out KTM's tribute video of their hero.
