Leader of North Korea, Kim Jong-un has ordered drivers to slow down their vehicles while passing through statues of his dad and granddad.
North Korea's supreme leader Kim Jong-un has ordered the drivers in the capital city to cut down their speed when passing statues of his dad and granddad.

In the capital city Pyongyang, Police must make sure that the drivers slow down their vehicles to just 5km/h. The drivers are ordered to reduce the speed when passing by statues of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.

Kim has also ordered his people to show respect to his family by slowing down their vehicles. North Korea is a nation with lowest car ownership in the world. So the implementation of the new rule should not be a problem.

Kim has also instructed to slow down the traffic to a speed of 30km/h in three other locations. Kim Il Sung Square in downtown Pyongyang, the Mansu Hill Grand Monument, and a Kim Jong Suk memorial mosaic.

The visitors to North Korea also confirmed that the new rule had been implemented. Before, the cars used to zip past the statues. But now the notice about speed limits have been painted. The guards also remind drivers about the speed limits.
