In line with their vision of sustainable progress, Kia India has declared their intention to launch additional 150 green workshops by 2026. According to their preliminary outline, these eco-friendly facilities will expand into smaller tier 3 and 4 markets along with metro cities and tier 1 and 2 markets. This move underscores Kia India's dedication to building a more sustainable future for its workforce and communities.

Mr. Myung-sik Sohn, the Chief Sales and Business Strategy Officer at Kia India, during the inauguration, stated, “Establishing our inaugural Green Workshop in Rohtak is a significant step towards positioning Kia India at the forefront of sustainable mobility and demonstrates our commitment to open 150 more Green Workshops by 2026. We foresee a future where ecological responsibility and premium driving are integrated.”

Kia India has consistently introduced eco-friendly strategies since the beginning of its operations in India. Its Anantapur manufacturing site has the capacity to recycle all water used in the production process. In 2020, it introduced a paperless post-sale service employing digital devices in the after-sales section to manage all queries.

This year, two community-centric initiatives were introduced - Develop Responsible Outlook for Plastic (DROP) and Uphaar. DROP aims to tackle plastic waste accumulation issue and its dispersal across landfills and water bodies, whereas Uphaar is a tree plantation program designed to support struggling farming communities and bring a solution for climate change.
